Before you start
- Adults only. Anyone under 18 is removed.
- No nudity, sexual content, harassment or hate.

How it works
-
Allow your camera and microphone. Both stay on for the whole chat.
-
Meet one person at a time. Chosen at random, just the two of you.
-
Stay, or press Next. Someone new is one press away, any time.
Random video chat, made calmer
ChatDrift.Fun puts you face to face with one person at a time, chosen at random, right in your browser. There’s nothing to install and no account to make. Stay as long as the conversation is good, or press Next to meet someone new.
-
The other person never sees your IP address
Every call is routed through a middle point that can’t see or hear it, so the person you meet never receives your address. They get your video, your sound and what you type, and nothing about your connection.
-
No cookies, no trackers
The site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies. The few settings it keeps in your browser are listed in the Cookie Policy (opens in a new tab).
-
Everyone’s camera is on
Camera and microphone stay on for the whole chat, for both of you. Nobody watches without being seen.
-
Moderated by the community, and by people
Adults only, with clear rules. In a chat, people can rate each other Angel or Devil, and someone many different people rate Devil is paused automatically. Report reaches the moderators, even for a minute after a chat ends, and they can block anyone who breaks the rules.
Questions people ask
Is ChatDrift.Fun free?
Yes, completely. There’s no sign-up, no subscription and nothing to buy.
Who will I meet?
One adult at a time, picked at random from the people looking right now. There are no filters by gender or country, so everyone gets the same chance. Press Next whenever you want someone new.
Can the other person find out where I am?
Not from the connection: calls are routed through a middle point, so neither of you receives the other’s IP address. They do see and hear whatever your camera and microphone show, so keep personal details out of view.
Is it safe to video chat with people I don’t know?
It’s built to be safer: adults only, clear rules, cameras on for both people, and a Report button that works during a chat and for a minute after it. Moderators can watch any chat and block anyone who breaks the rules. Never share your full name, address or accounts, and leave any chat that feels wrong. The safety page (opens in a new tab) explains each of these.
Why do I need my camera and microphone?
So both people are seen and heard. Someone with their camera off could watch others without being seen, which is what the rules are there to stop. For the same reason there’s no mute and no camera-off button.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It runs in the browser on iPhone, Android and computers, with nothing to install. Allow the camera and microphone when your browser asks.
What is Angel vs. Devil?
Community-driven moderation. During a chat, two small buttons let you rate the person you’re talking with. Nobody is told who picked what. Enough Devil picks from different people pause someone’s chatting for an hour. Read how community moderation works (opens in a new tab).
What does ChatDrift.Fun keep about me?
No recordings: video and sound are never stored. Chat messages are held only for your current chat, unless it’s reported. The Community Guidelines (opens in a new tab) list everything that’s kept, and for how long.

How Angel vs. Devil works
- In a chat, 😇 and 😈 appear after 2 seconds.
- Pick one for them, once a day. They never see it.
- When the chat ends, you see what people think of you.
- Too many 😈 and you can’t chat for 1 hour.
- Lots of 😇 and a 😎 pops up in your chats.
- Rated very well? People you meet see a 😇 on you.
- Rated very badly? People you meet see a 😈 on you.
Staying safe
- Keep your name, address and phone number to yourself.
- Show only what you’d be fine with anyone seeing.
- Not comfortable? Press Next or Stop. No need to explain.
- Report anyone who pressures or threatens you.
- In danger right now? Call your local emergency number.
