The full policy
1. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small files a website asks your browser to keep and send back with every visit. Browser storage (local storage and session storage) is similar, but it stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere on its own. This policy covers both.
2. What ChatDrift.Fun keeps in your browser
ChatDrift.Fun sets no cookies. It keeps these settings in your browser’s local storage, on this device only:
| Name | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|
chatdrift.agreed |
That you confirmed you are 18 or older and agreed to the Community Guidelines and this policy, so the welcome screen does not ask every visit. | Until you remove it |
chatdrift.guidelines |
The date of the version you agreed to. When the Community Guidelines or this policy change, the welcome screen asks you again. | Until you remove it |
chatdrift.theme |
Light or dark, only if you pressed the sun or moon button. | Until you remove it |
chatdrift.volume |
How loud the other person is, only if you moved the volume slider on their video. | Until you remove it |
Moderators, who sign in to the dashboard, also have:
| Name | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|
chatdrift.admin.token |
A moderator’s sign-in, for one browser tab (session storage). It is removed when the tab closes or they sign out. | Until the tab closes |
chatdrift.admin.prefs |
A moderator’s dashboard settings, such as thumbnail blur. | Until you remove it |
None of this identifies you, and none of it is sent to us or to anyone else.
3. What ChatDrift.Fun does not use
No cookies of any kind, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no social media buttons, and no scripts or fonts from other companies. Every page loads only files from this site.
4. What your browser remembers by itself
Your browser, not ChatDrift.Fun, remembers whether you allowed the camera and microphone; you can change that in its site settings. Using ChatDrift.Fun also means connecting to our server, which sees your IP address; the Community Guidelines explain what we keep (section 18).
5. Your choices
Everything listed here is either needed for ChatDrift.Fun to work, like your agreement, or something you chose, like the theme. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to turn off.
You can remove all of it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser’s settings. ChatDrift.Fun still works if your browser blocks storage; you will simply be asked to agree again each visit.
6. Changes to this policy
The date at the top shows when this policy last changed. When it changes, the welcome screen asks you to agree again before your next chat.
